This little black dress makes a darling everyday summer piece with flat sandals or mules, and can easily be dress up for special occasions with a change of shoes (one reviewer mentioned she even wore it to a wedding!). The swingy silhouette is very on-trend with a sweetheart neckline and softly puffed sleeves, and as a bonus it’s also nursing friendly and **early bump friendly (please read detailed fit notes below). I found the fit and length to be very petite-friendly and while my regular size worked fine, I went up one size for a tad longer length and a little more room at the bust.

BP Puff Sleeve Taffeta Dress

As mentioned above this is a flirty, very petite-friendly cut that is also nursing and **early bump friendly. The neckline and shoulder area are fully elasticized all the way around the back, making it a very comfortable fit and easy to pull down for nursing. It’s a high empire style and the line right below the bust is also fully elasticized. The description “taffeta” sounds potentially dated but it just refers to a very subtle taffeta-like texture on the outer layer. The overall dress is airy and lightweight with a full lining. It’s a mini length on me at 5′ so I wore a pair of biker shorts underneath in case of a gust of wind! **Note I say only early bump friendly because the line across the bottom where the skirted ruffle connects does not have stretch, so it’ll only fit over a smaller belly.
Vince Camuto Platform Espadrille (*just* went on sale)
These espadrille are back in 3 colors and fully stocked! The upper part is a woven material with a touch of stretch that conforms to your foot shape, making the hoe quite comfortable. The platform sole adds a little bit of height but is not heavy, making this a great everyday spring to summer shoe. Of the three colors I found the brown (a very slightly deeper brown than how it appears in my photo below) to be the most leg elongating, but think any of the three neutral colors would be a versatile summer staple.
Lulu’s Smocked Puff Sleeve Midi Dress
I wanted to share one other chic black dress find that is nursing and bump-friendly, just note this runs a little roomy in the torso and shoulder area. It has similar softly puffed sleeves, and the torso is fully smocked making it very stretchy and nursing friendly as well.
