The most picturesque few weeks in Boston are officially here and the weather has been so good to us, calling for just a light jacket or thick sweater most days! Inspired by Nori’s class which goes on nature walks and outdoor picnics regularly, I went leaf peeping around the neighborhood and caught this gorgeous scene at the park. My outfit follows one of my favorite smart casual formulas when I want to feel put together with minimal effort, and would work with flats or sneakers as well! You can also see this outfit in my IG Reel.
Wool Blazer
I first shared this navy blazer this spring and paired it with a button up and nude pumps for another timeless outfit combo. I also bought the same blazer in camel a while back and it’s a bit more of a statement piece than my other blazers, due to the gold buttons. When compared to the J.Crew Regent blazer which I’ve also shown regularly, the Banana Republic captain blazer is a little longer in length and more contoured and fitted at the waist, with a more defined lapel.
Slim Jeans
I recently picked up these Madewell vintage wash jeans and reviewed them in this post. For a similar look and lower price points, these Levi’s jeans remain favorites from two years back! Note the Levi’s are button fly and Madewell is zipper fly and runs a little bigger at the waist, in comparison. I had to cut the hems on both brands for my preferred length.
Cap Toe Pumps
I get questions about these every time I wear them and we’re unfortunately sold out of many sizes at the moment! I made these as an everyday low pump that can be paired with either dressier office or more laid back denim looks.
Taupe Layering Top
The exact top I’m wearing is an old Uniqlo find, but J.Crew Factory has a similar color turtleneck. It’s surprisingly been one of my most reached for layering tops over the years because the color works with warm as well as cool brown tones, and pretty much ALL other neutrals like cream, grey, navy, or black!
