It’s been a little quiet on here lately, between getting Edited Pieces ready for launch, the little ones being perpetually sick, and trying to help my dear grandparents from afar. I’ve missed blogging and hope to get back into the swing of things soon!

Today’s look is a simple one but made me feel chic and polished, thanks to the soft color combo and the amazing fit of these pants. Some of my most pinned looks from over the years feature long trousers, but finding good ones that fit off-the-rack has been next to impossible (I’ve altered nearly every pair in my closet)! I was thrilled to find this pair, and just hope they’ll come out with more fabrics and colors for future seasons!

Here’s how I’d style these pants simply for a warmer weather look:

Side Zip Trousers (regular, petite, curvy or regular fit)

These are so very flattering, thanks to the elongating seam down the middle, the leg-skimming cut, and a perfect high rise that actually fits. AT pants usually run big for me at the waist, so I was elated to zip these up with no waist gap (thus I would say these run small for the brand, and other reviewers seem to agree). The material has a brushed texture to it and feels luxurious for fall and winter (on the subtle side and doesn’t scream suede), and definitely works for spring too. The fabric is medium weight with a little stretch, so is comfortable with nice drape. Pants like this are usually much too long on me, but the 28″ inseam here works well even with lower or mid height heels. Can’t recommend these enough!

Size 00 Petite measures: 12.25″ across the waist, 9.5″ rise, and 28″ inseam.

Faux Leather Ankle Pants

Ann Taylor had a pant like this a while back that I’ve loved, so I wanted to share their updated version! These are a very chic alternative to denim and surprisingly easy to wear and pair. The material is medium-thicker weight and warm, and I’ve worn mine with the wide hem either full length or folded up (which I do with flats or sneakers). The waist on these is a tad loose on me compared to the straight leg trousers above.

You can see a few of the ways I styled my older pair here and here.

Chunky Knit Sweater

I hope a few of you were able to pick up this color when I first shared it here! I originally got this sweater years ago in a different color, and it must be a popular one as H&M keeps bringing it back.

The price of this sweater is a very good value for the weight and extra thick chunky knit. The length is on the shorter size for regular sizing, which I like for wearing either half-tucked or tucked into my bra band. See my older sweater on me here paired with jeans and boots for a casual fall outfit and here for a more bundled up winter look. The yarn blend is not particularly soft out of the package, but from experience it does break in a bit with wear. If you like the neckline of this sweater but prefer something lighter and less chunky, I also tried this funnel neck sweater from AT and it’s worth checking out!
