Last month’s most-read post on here was my review of sweaters from Parisian-based Sézane, so I’m excited to share a few more of their pieces! This time I wanted to highlight a few of their blouses + one dress in particular that I found to be petite-friendly. Their blouses are mostly made of organic cotton or silk, and have some really unique, feminine detailing that dresses up even a simple denim outfit. You can also see some of these pieces featured in my Instagram video.

1. Bianca Blouse

This is my favorite Sézane blouse so far – it has exquisite lace detailing and is surprisingly petite friendly! It looks so elegant paired with trousers (tried it with both cream and beige pants), dressed down with jeans, and it also looks SO good paired with skirts (such as this knit midi skirt) which I’ll show soon. The blouse fabric is non stretch, and a 0 fits well on me. The sleeves are 7/8 length and hit perfectly a little above my wrists. You can layer a skin-toned cami underneath, or a neutral layering shirt like Uniqlo heattech tees, or I’m just wearing a skin-toned bra in the photo and video.

2. Chloé Scalloped Shirt

One of Sézane’s signature blouses in lots of color options. The scallop neckline adds a romantic touch and can be worn either folded open, or buttoned up a little more. I’d suggest clicking into the fabric composition for each color you’re interested in, because some colors are organic cotton while other colors are silk.

I’ve been eying the blue and white cotton stripes colorway forever but alas, my size has never restocked. The sage green one I’m trying on is 100% silk and feels very comparable in quality and weight to my Equipment silk blouses, plus with special detailing. Sézane silk blouses also have silk fabric covered buttons, which are a small but luxe touch compared to the typical plastic buttons. The fit of a 0 is good on me, and while the sleeves are a little long, they pool gently at the wrist cuffs and still work.

I also wanted to mention these earrings again, which I first shared in my Sézane knits review and have been reaching for often! I love that they’re super lightweight and are a bit of a statement piece while still being versatile enough for everyday wear.

3. Carola Dress

Sadly, most of Sézane’s dresses only start in size 2 and up. I wanted to try on this dress anyways and the size 2 feels like it runs TTS to maybe a little small, comparable to a 0 in American brands like Ann Taylor. It’s a little loose on me, but if you usually take a 0-2 or up then this piece would be a beautiful fit and the cut itself is petite-friendly!

The dress is made in a quality linen blend fabric, in a beautiful plum floral print and full lining. The slightly shorter cut torso length is flattering on petites and the waistline actually hits near my natural waist. There’s a small smocked stretch panel at the back center, plus a back zipper. Size 2 measures 13.25” across the waist, 16” across the bust and has a 32” length. One thing to note however, is that sleeve length usually gets longer as the size goes up, so the sleeve length on a bigger size might end up being too long on someone petite.

4. Ann Shirt

I also tried on the Ann shirt which is a more straightforward, classic silk blouse. Similar to the Chloé blouse, the sleeves are a little long on me, but the extra length balloons gently at the wrists. This one didn’t stand out to me as much as the Chloé, though the “vintage blue” color is a really lovely dusty blue. I invested in a few classic Equipment silk blouses like this many years ago, and the Sézane Ann is a great alternative that is cut a little slimmer, and is a better value at half the price of Equipment!
