The requests for spring wedding guest outfits have been rolling in, and it’s been fun keeping an eye out for special warm weather pieces! I’m partnering with Nordstrom to share this romantic look that would be so lovely for a spring wedding, bridal or baby shower or other special event. Check my Instagram video for a “get ready with me” video of this dress, and I’ve also shared a few other styles below that caught my eye!
En Saison floral dress
This is such a pretty and feminine dress that would work for a garden or vineyard wedding but is still casual enough to wear regularly on any summer day with sandals or flats! The length appears midi on the model but hits lower near my ankles.
I now have several dresses from over the years cut in this same style (with the ruffled shoulders and open tie back) and love it. For fit purposes, it allows a lot of adjustability. Note an XS in this dress is a little long and roomy on me in the torso and shoulder straps, but the tie back style makes it wearable without needing alterations. It’s my first time trying this brand and will be checking out more styles by En Saison, like this tie shoulder smocked dress!
For a bra, I usually do my go-to adhesive nippies bra with open back styles, but I also specifically look for busier camouflaging patterns like this so I can go bra-less as well!
- Bardot lace sheath dress – this one is a classic and on sale! See my review
- Lavish Alice floral dress – I’m new to this British brand and have been “favoriting” so many of their feminine yet edgy pieces.
- Eliza J ruched wrap dress – see all Eliza J dresses. This one is more dramatic but stunning!
- Dress the Population sweetheart dress – one of my favorite classic special occasion dress brands.
- Dress the Population fit & flare dress
Loeffler Randall Bow Heels
I have had these feminine sandals for a while now and absolutely love them! They a mini statement shoe for special occasions and come in several colors and fabrics. The block heel feels stable and sturdy, making these a more comfortable heeled option that will also work on grassy lawns without sinking in like heels do. These are also a gorgeous bridal shoe available in white and pale blue (for “something blue”) colors, in low, medium and higher heel heights. See all Loeffler Randall bow heels here.
I also noticed that this floaty tiered dress I shared last year is back in stock in three colors. You can read my review here, but I do want to note again that the xs is a bit roomy on me in the torso and chest so I usually cinch it in using a belt. While white is not appropriate for wedding guest wear, it now comes in new colors!
Thank you to Nordstrom for partnering on this post.
Do you usually wear panty hose with closed toe pumps? If so, do you have a brand that you recommend?
Hi Kathie, I’m afraid I don’t have a brand recommendation as I haven’t worn panty hose in a while
Yeah, I get it. I HATE panty hose, but I haven’t found a very good liner sock either to wear with pumps.
Beautiful dress. It looks great on you. Thanks!
Thank you, Auren!
Would you recommend wedding dresses for June?
Hi Denise, I think any of the dresses in this post could work for a June wedding! I also just shared a new post with some beautiful dresses from WHBM.
