I recently blogged 5 useful solutions for organizing our kitchen pantry, and wanted to share a few other tools for keeping this busy area of our home organized and easily accessible!
1. Lazy Susan Turntables
I’ve added these lazy Susans to both inside our cabinets and inside our fridge! I have the shallow ones in several diameters, as well as a deeper one (pictured below).
Sold at Amazon in a 4 pack
Above – lazy susan turntables to organize my 1) Asian condiments, 2) cooking oils, and 3) other condiments and sauces. These are 9″ wide to fit inside my more shallow cabinets. The deeper turntables pictured below also work great in my bathroom for jars & bottles of skincare products!
2. Bamboo Drawer Dividers
In our current kitchen we have several large, deep drawers which used to become mountains of clutter. Adding dividers has made it so much easier to assign designated spaces for everything! Just make sure to measure your drawer height and depth before ordering.
2.75″ high dividers sold here.
5″ high Lipper dividers sold here.
Depending on how high you want the dividers to come up, you can also stack 2 shallower dividers vertically.
Using spring or tab style drawer dividers was also mentioned in my post on clothing storage + organization. I use white dividers inside my clothing drawers, and bamboo dividers inside our wooden kitchen drawers for a more seamless look! If you have white or gray wood inside your drawers, these dividers are a good option to match the interior.
I bought a few different brands and found the springs on the Klutter Kutter dividers to work a little more smoothly than others. As a taller divider, I used these Lipper deep drawer dividers (pictured below inside our tupperware drawer), but note the springs on those are more firm and required some elbow grease wedging inside the drawer.
Nori loves having her own drawer – she gets to “help” mama unload the dishwasher, and grab cups, plates and utensils by herself for her meals!
3. Tupperware Lid Organizer
Tupperware lids and containers are notoriously difficult to keep neat and tidy. This storage rack fits nicely inside either our drawers or cabinets, and the dividers are adjustable to suit whichever size lids or containers you have.

4. In-Drawer Knife Block
To maximize space on our countertops and to keep knives further out of reach from little ones, I keep this in-drawer knife block at the back of our highest drawer. It works well for storing our knives of various shapes and sizes!

5. In-Drawer Spice Organizer
Our new kitchen has one very shallow drawer that I wanted to tidy up as a spice drawer, and this YouCopia spice drawer liner came to the rescue.
If your drawer is not super shallow like mine, I really liked the look of the MDesign tiered spice organizer option, also linked below.
Shallow spice drawer liner sold here.
Deeper tiered spice organizer sold at:
mDesign (10% off with code MDJEAN10) or Amazon
Admittedly, out of the package the YouCopia liner just looks like a roll of overpriced foam that you cut to fit yourself…but it works. The grooves allow our spice bottles of various shapes to lay neatly without rolling around, and it’s easy to wipe clean.
6. Expandable Cabinet Shelf
Being a shorty, I like to keep my favorite dishes and cups toward the lower levels of our kitchen cabinets. We didnt have extra cabinet shelves to move around, so got this large expandable shelf to double the shelf space inside our most-used cabinets.
We also have this mDesign version which measures a little smaller – check my post on Kitchen Pantry Organization to see how we use it to make our canned and boxed goods more neatly visible.
Good stuff! I have some of those in my kitchen as well and they are very useful. But try your local dollar store first! I found the wood drawer separator for 4$/pair. (Canadian here)
Hi Jean, Where is your backsplash from and would you be able to link it? Thanks!
So beautiful, and well organized.
Would love it if you could share some organizing tips for toddlers stuff (toys, books, clothes, etc) or nursery setup. Thanks!
Thanks for the suggestion! We’re still figuring out what works best since our play area usually looks like a tornado went through it.
Ahh your new kitchen looks amazing! We have so many of the exact same organizers. Got the bamboo dividers, lazy susans, and expandable shelf about 5 years ago, and they are still going strong! Going to check out the knife rack – we have a bunch of mis-matched knives that have been difficult to organize!
Wow! Your cabinet is so organized! I might need to get myself some bamboo drawer dividers!
Demi
I needed this! I just moved into a small place and I need all the kitchen storage I CAN GET!
wonderful home organization
These are great tips, the right organization tools make ALL the difference! I love the little lazy Susan’s; I use a large on for my cleaning cabinet. I need to get that spice drawer organizer…
Such a fun post! Thanks for all the tips! 😊
ooooo those turntables in the cabinet are a GREAT idea! I’m also a shorty and really appreciate these tips Jean. Thank you
Loving all the home posts and recipe posts. Ive been working from home for the past 7 months, do you have any recommendations for office organization? Would you do a WFH office organization or home office setup? Thank you!
Thank you! My home office area is a bit of a disaster but it’s an area I want to tackle next!
